FAQs
What is CBD/Cannabidiol?
CBD/Cannabidiol is one of over 100 compounds found in cannabis that belong to a class of molecules called cannabinoids. Of these cannabinoid compounds, CBD is usually present in the highest concentration (along with THC) are therefore the most recognized and studied. Unlike THC, CBD does not cause a high. While many people enjoy the marijuana high, health professionals prefer treatments with minimal side effects. CBD does not produce that "high" effect. One of the most interesting effects of CBD is its ability to interact with other cannabinoids in cannabis, such as THC and CBN, and terpenes. CBD hemp oil is extracted from the cannabis varieties that are naturally abundant in CBD, and low in THC.
What is hemp?
There are different varieties of the cannabis plant and Hemp refers to the non-intoxicating varieties of the Cannabis plant. Both hemp and marijuana come from the same cannabis species, but are genetically distinct and are further distinguished by use, chemical makeup, and cultivation methods. CBD is derived from Hemp that contains only trace amounts of THC (Less than 0.3%). Hemp is grown from specific cannabis varieties that naturally possess higher levels of CBD. These hemp plants produce hemp oil that is naturally rich in cannabidiol. Because organic hemp oil is extracted from high-CBD, low-THC cannabis, it doesn’t produce psychoactive effects the way THC does. Hemp has been known for its industrial and environmental uses and benefits throughout history. Hemp can be used for paper, fuel, oils, medicine, clothing, housing, plastic, rope, and even food. In fact, many of these uses of hemp have been practiced throughout our history for over thousands of years.
What does full-spectrum mean?
There are 3 main types of CBD. Full Spectrum: an oil that retains a large number of the cannabinoids and terpenoids that are found in nature. These create a unique experience for the user. Full spectrum CBD is associated with the “entourage effect” - the increased effectiveness of oils due to the different cannabinoids interacting with one another. Broad Spectrum: essentially the same as a full-spectrum oil, retaining a large number of natural cannabinoids and terpenes. The only difference is that broad spectrum has been slightly refined in order to virtually eliminate the cannabinoid THC. Highly refined nearly 100% CBD. Typically found in powder form. The isolation process strips away 100+ of the cannabinoids found in nature.
Will I get a "high" from taking CBD?
No, CBD products are non-psychoactive. Third-party lab tests indicate that CBD products meet or exceed Federal and State regulation standards. It is important to note that CBD is legal in all 50 states with 0.3% THC or less. There is no psychoactive effect from taking CBD products.
Will I fail my drug test from taking CBD?
Different drug tests screen for different drugs, and they vary depending on the concerns of those administering them. Drug screens often test for more than just marijuana. They may also check for opioids, alcohol, cocaine, barbiturates, methamphetamine, and more. Most workplace drug screens designed to detect marijuana use look specifically for THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound most people think of when they think of marijuana, and its main metabolite, 11-nor-delta9-caboxy-THC (THC-COOH). Hemp can legally contain up to 0.3% THC, which is considered "trace amounts", but depending on the type of drug screening test used and whether or not they are testing for CBD, there is a possibility you could show positive after consuming CBD Hemp Oil. Anyone who is concerned about having a positive drug test should avoid consuming CBD oils. If you’re in the United States Military, a first responder, a competitive athlete, or employed by a company that’s subject to strict drug testing, we recommend that you not ingest CBD oil before talking with your healthcare, employer, or drug screening company.

Will CBD products help me sleep?
Interestingly enough, our blends have not been reported to cause drowsiness. This may seem like a contradiction, unless you understand how CBD works. Please do not treat our sleep solution like a sleeping pill. When you consume our products, the CBD binds to receptors in your endocannabinoid system. From there, it immediately goes to work, bringing the body back to a balanced state (equilibrium). Once your body regains balance, it can better execute normal functionalities (like releasing melatonin). When operating from a frame of stress, your body is not focused on properly regulating bodily functions.
What is the "Entourage Effect"?
Plants contain a diverse spectrum of active molecules that have been shown to work together in your body. There are hundreds of active compounds in hemp-extract, including cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes. These compounds interact to create the entourage effect, a synergistic interaction, that can increase the bioavailability and effectiveness of CBD products.
